FABULOSITY, TOUGH TIMES, AND THE POWER OF THOUGHT

I recently had 2 band experiences this month while job searching. Both times, I was given the impression that I had the job only to be told, pretty rudely, that I did not. Both times, I had to call and speak to someone in the corporate offices hoping to get some explanation about the "mistake" made. Apparently, what happened to me is a common occurrence here in Vegas. Which would explain the recent downturn in the city's quality of customer service and hospitality. After I finished crying (a lot) and crapping on myself. I had to take a step back and ask myself why I was attracting these situations. So, I listened to my favorite podcast from Antonio Thorton, and had a moment of clarity. I realized two things.
  1. As long as I continue to battle feelings of low self worth, I will continue to attract situations that make me feel worthless.
  2. A job does not determine my worth or value as a person.
So, I'm putting the job search thing on hold for a while, sticking with the job position that I have, trying to move up in the company I'm with.
Meanwhile, I picked up my copy of "Fabulosity: What It Is & How To Get It", by Kimora Lee Simmons.  I checked out a list of confidence tips in her Self-Belief And Confidence chapter.
  • KIMORA'S GUARANTEED TOP 5 CONFIDENCE TIPS
  • Never Say Never-Negative thoughts come true if you believe them. What you believe and know about yourself is what it's going to be.
  • Fake It 'Til You Make It-If you don't believe everything's going to turn around, fake that you do and that will get you moving forward.
  • Trust There's A Reason That You Are There, Not Someone Else-Everything happens for a reason.
  • Choose Your Company Wisely-Confidence is contagious.  The more the merrier.
Grrlfriend was talking about the Laws of Attraction, and didn't even know it. As a kid, she was called "Chinky Giraffe", a target of teenage mean girls who were jealous of her style, height, hair, and intelligence. Later, as a runway model in Paris, she didn't let her youth, color, or inexperience hold her back from being a muse for Karl Lagerfield.
Therefore, it is official. Kimora Lee Simmons, single mother of two, fashion beauty, and business mogul is also a KOLOURED GRRL.

A few years ago I had similar situation where I was trying to find a better job. My current job at the time was stressing me out and I couldn't see myself working there much longer. It happened that my job sent me to Baltimore on assignment and I met the CEO of the company I now work for. I interviewed at the company, and I thought I had bombed but they offered me a job. Now I am where I want to be, and I like my job. So hang in there. Sometimes it is a matter of timing.

There is always going to be a struggle just before a major break through. Just weather the storm and when you get to the other side your rainbow will be brilliant!
